Much of Surround's cabinet furniture is made from solid Victoria ash plantation timber, as is the range of solid timber tables up to three metres in length. These designs retain clean contemporary lines - modern atributes often ignored with the use of solid timbers and low volume production. All the sofa's and cabinetry are locally made and mostly exclusive and can therefore be fully customized to the customer's requirements in relatively short turn around periods.

The Surround showroom displays a varied range of locally manufactured decorative lighting designed by Marcus Balscheit and sold exclusively at the St Kilda premises. The emphasis on this lighting range is the local manufacturing, which is a unique alternative to mass produced imported products. The designs steer away from high tech "manufactured" looks and embrace natural motifs and themes.
Options range from the sculptural and elegant Lotus floor lamp and the dramatic Black Forest pendant to the Garland wall sconce. Customizing size and colour and easily be accommadated. Surround also supplies a small selection from the Italian Slamp lighting collection. Customized pendant shades in new and vintage materials can be viewed and ordered. There is also a number of table lamps on display, many unique to Surround.
